Derrick May
Derrick May is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Optimum Energy Partners LLC. He completed his undergraduate degree at Oklahoma State University and completed his graduate degree at Southern Methodist University. Mr. May has direct oversight over the executives and day-to-day operations of the company; ensuring that all of the systems, resources, and people are in place to achieve the goals of the company. Derrick brings 17+ years of experience in the oil & gas industry to the company and has extensive expertise across various roles in private equity, investment banking, and company management. Mr. May has helped facilitate energy transactions on both the buy and sell side. In his free time Derrick enjoys playing as many sports as possible, and enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughter above everything else.
